Contents of lectures | (I) Introductory classes (prof. Elez and prof. Dušanić): placing the French novel on the European map. (II) First semester (prof. Dušanić): Stendhal, Balzac, and the birth of the "classic" nineteenth-century novel. An overview of the main topics, stylistic features, and narrative strategies in their main works. | |||
