    The goal Developing communication skills and acquiring knowledge of grammar/vocabulary at A2 level.
    The outcome After the second semester, the student further develops their basic communication skills in English. The development is reflected in an even greater ability to understand sentences and frequent expressions that belong to the basic form of communication. Also, they are able to provide and understand basic information related to personal data and their immediate environment with even greater ease using the previously acquired grammar/vocabulary knowledge.
    Contents
    Contents of lectures Theoretical contents are solely related to content revision and presentation of new grammar and vocabulary units.
    Contents of exercises In these (practical) lessons, selected texts and exercises from one of the compulsory textbooks are covered in order to expand the vocabulary, develop the ability to understand simpler texts and master basic grammatical units. All grammatical units covered correspond to the appropriate level, i.e. A2 level of the Common European Framework for Living Languages. Lexical units covered in the lessons are also in line with the determined level. Topics for conversation correspond to the grammatical and lexical content of the lesson.

    Methods of teaching Lessons are held in the classroom, using standard teaching methods. All units given in the syllabus are covered in class. At the end of each class, students are assigned homework that is to be completed by next class and that is always related to the content covered in class. Apart from individual work, group work and pair work are also used. Students thus have the opportunity to express their opinion in class independently, but also to work in a group where basic communication is done in English.
