      The goal Introduction to the most important contemporary intertextual theories and understanding of their key theoretical assumptions on the examples of interpretations of the representative texts.
      The outcome Understanding of theory and practice of intertextuality as possibility of interpretation literary and cultural phenomena. Ability of differencing main flows in contemporary intertextual theories.

      Contents of lectures 1. The notion of intertextuality. 2. Traditional intertextual phenomena and types. 3. Theoretical foundation of intertextuality: De Saussure, Bakhtin, Kristeva. 4. Dialogue and Intertextuality. 5. Intertextuality, Barthes and the death of the author. 6. Poststructuralism and Intertextuality. 7. Genette’s understanding of the intertext. 8. Hypertextuality and intertextuality. 9. Intertextual semiotics of poetry. 10. Citational intertextuality. 11. Intertextuality as a method of interpretation. 12. Intertextuality and the World Wide Web.
