      The goal Introduction to the basic characteristics of hermeneutics. Recognition of the relation between philosophy and literature as a possible horizon of understanding and interpretation of existence. Illumination of the relevance of literature in the context of the ontological question about a relation between the human way of being, language and poetic thinking.
      The outcome Understanding the origin and the main characteristics of the philosophy of literature, the difference between philosophy of literature, criticism and theory of literature. Recognition of a potential of the hermeneutic approach to the work of literature and affirmation of the interpretive openness of text and language.

      Contents of lectures Lectures are focused on the specific issues that are taken as essential for an understanding of the relation between philosophy, literature and human way of being. Traditional understanding of the metaphysical problem of relation between truth and poetry will be primarily introduced and treated through Nietzsche's vitalistic perspective, Sartre's existentialism, Heidegger's hermeneutics of Being, Derrida's deconstruction, as well as through the position of the new criticism.
