The goal | Getting to know the general features and the most representative patterns of female prose in Ukrainian literature of the end of the 20th - beginning of the 21th century, with the philosophical, scientific-methodological and socio-political context of their origin. Training for the analysis of texts in which the issue of gender is emphasized. | |||
The outcome | On the example of the prose works of Ukrainian writers, the student can define the great modern women's literature in Ukraine and observe the competence for textual research within the framework of native studies. | |||

Contents of lectures | Challenges of the post-Soviet Ukrainian cultural space at the end of the 20th - the beginning of the 21st century: feminism, postmodernism and native studies, tendencies in the literary "ratu half". The concept of "women's writing" and "women's reading" in the context of women's subculture. Speech of the Second. Native stereotypes and mass literature. Analytical strategy in research methodologies of women's prose. Autobiographical female narrative against traditional patriarchal discourse. Writing through the body as a "second optic" in the post-colonial post-totalitarian society of Ukraine. Prose genres "for the writer": essay, short story, social-psychological novel, crime novel as washed-up narrative faces. The wife of the family, the wife of the profession, the wife of the council: the spectrum, the role in the spectrum, the topic of contemporary Ukrainian women's prose. The status of author, hero and reader in Ukrainian female prose: the search for native and national identity. A generational approach to cataloging contemporary Ukrainian women's literature.
