      The goal Introducing students to the possibilities and types of comparative study of Serbian literature in the context of other South Slavic literatures/cultures
      The outcome By becoming familiar with the comparative method (similarities and differences, contact-generic and typological relations, peculiarities and influences) in the regional context, students will be able to study and interpret Serbian literature in a relational key that represents a bridge between national and international perspectives in the study of literature.
      Contents
      Contents of lectures Directions and methods of comparative studies; the beginnings and history of the comparative study of South Slavic literature from Romanticism to the present day; stylistic-formational, genre-typological and thematic-problematic aspects; cultural determinants, individual-author and intertextual comparisons.
      Contents of exercises Concrete work on literary texts, oral presentations and discussions aimed at immediate understanding of the exam material.
