      The goal The aim of the course Poetics of Milan Kundera 1 is to introduce the student to the essays and theory of the novel by Milan Kundera, which the writer discusses in five different books of essays. By mastering the theory of the art of the novel, the student prepares for later independent interpretation and analysis of the entire prose corpus of this writer, which is the content of the next course under the same name.
      The outcome The student will be able to analyze Kundera's novel theory on their own and creatively interpret Kundera's art of the novel. They will acquire the skills for comparing Kundera's poetics of the novel with works of European and world literature.
