The goal Introducing students to the basic characteristics of ancient civilizations geographically located in spaces that will enter the cultural circle of Islamic-Oriental civilization starting in the 7th century AD. These civilizations (Mesopotamian, Elamite, civilization of ancient Egypt) will have an impact on later countries that emerge in that space. Participants in the course gain basic knowledge of civilizational characteristics, languages, and letters of ancient Mesopotamian civilizations, ancient Egypt, as well as civilizations that originated on the Iranian plateau from the 4th-millennium 19th-century TH.
The outcome Students master the basic knowledge of ancient Mesopotamian civilizations, ancient Egypt, and the first civilizations on the Iranian plateau. They adopt knowledge of their achievements, languages, letters, as well as the indirect cultural impact on Islamic-Oriental civilizations. The course participants analyze the similarities and differences between these civilizations and cultures, given the fact that they all emerge almost at the same time and represent the world's first developed civilizations. Knowledge of the first languages and letters is adopted in the areas between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, as well as the Nile Delta, and their development is monitored until the formation of the phonetic letter. Students are competently discussing the deciphering of the oldest letters, as well as efforts to protect preserved musealia from the area.
