The goal The History of Asian Civilizations is an academic discipline that examines, from a theoretical perspective, the emergence, development, and decline of the earliest civilizations of the East and the Far East. Thousands of years ago, Asia witnessed the emergence of ancient civilizations and enduring traditions of statehood. Today, the region is home to the world's most populous and densely populated countries, the largest urban agglomerations, and some of the world's most dynamic economies. In this context, the aim of the course is to examine and study the development of the spiritual and material culture of Asian peoples in relation to their historical evolution and the events that have shaped their societies. Particular emphasis is placed on the study of the general prerequisites and foundations of civilization, especially its spiritual, moral, economic, and political dimensions.
The outcome The student acquires knowledge of the history of Asian civilizations and cultures, enabling them to understand the distinctive characteristics of contemporary Japanese culture and economic life.
