    The goal Extension of the acquired knowledge of Polish literature of the XIX century, training for creative reading, analysis and interpretation of the text.
    The outcome The student will gain a more detailed insight into the literary process, poetry, genre pyramid of literature of Polish romanticism and positivism; it will acquire practical knowledge of literary texts and their cultural context.

    Contents of lectures Polish romanticism - basic characteristics; typology of literature of Romanticism; genre innovation; representatives. Adam Mickiewicz. Polish positivism (realism) - basic characteristics; typology of the literature of positivism; genre innovation; representatives. Poets: Adam Asnyk and Maria Konopnicka. Prose: Eliza Orzeszkowa.
