    The goal Acquisition and development of basic language skills.Acquisition of language competence level A1 of the Common Framework of Reference for Languages
    The outcome A student acquires the basics of active use of the contemporary Czech language. He learns correct pronunciation, acquires and activates the basic lexical fund, analyzes and remembers simple grammatical forms and constructions and uses them in speech and writing, understands written text and statements on topics from everyday communication . He is capable of simple communication if the interlocutor speaks slowly.
    Contents
    Contents of lectures Grammar: nouns, adjectives, personal and possessive pronouns - basic characteristics - basic case forms without exceptions (nominative, accusative, vocative singular and plural), using polite and familiar form of adress; interrogative and demonstrative pronouns, verbs - infinitive and present tense.
    Contents of exercises Practicing of phonetics, learning the basic principles of spelling and grammar. Language skills: listening exercises, use of words and phrases, prepositional-case constructions, etc., speaking exercises (basic topics from everyday life: etiquette formulas, introduction, self-identification, education, family, visits, shopping, etc.), written expression on given topics, interaction with the teacher and other students. Certain aspects of Czech culture and society.

    Methods of teaching Textbooks and illustrations, additional materials, exercises (listening, pronunciation and grammar), interactive teaching, verbal methods: monologue, dialogue, oral interaction. Independent work, work in groups and pairs.
