    The goal Develop communicative competence at the A2.2/B1.1 level, i.e., the student's ability to perform appropriate tasks in all linguistic activities (speech comprehension, oral expression, written text comprehension, written expression, oral and written mediation) in personal, public, educational, and professional settings. Build basic knowledge of French grammar, acquire new knowledge and apply both through grammar exercises.
    The outcome The student is able to understand spoken and written texts, express himself or herself orally and in writing, and to mediate up to level A2.2/B1.1; has developed intercultural and contrastive competence. The student is able to summarize and translate into Serbian lexically and syntactically simpler texts from literature or newspapers. The student applies the grammatical knowledge and, consequently, all other linguistic knowledge acquired in class in the context of conversations, i.e. speaks in French about cultural, artistic, political and social events.

    Contents of exercises Grammar Units: Refreshing the knowledge acquired at the previous level of language learning and acquiring new knowledge: Use of indicative tenses, use of the present conditional and subjunctive, expression of the past, factitive constructions, use of personal, possessive and demonstrative pronouns, comparative constructions, construction properties of verbs. Acquisition of knowledge in the field of cultural and political events in France and other francophone countries through the processing of dialogues and texts. Development of all linguistic skills through exercises prepared with the help of textbooks for learning French. Written mediation exercises (summarising, expanding the source material with examples and comments, translating, including easier literary texts, etc.); comparing texts of the same type written in Serbian and French to find grammatical, lexical and cultural similarities and differences.
