The goal | Developing all language competences up to level B2. | |||
The outcome | Students will be able to understand longer and more complex literary and non-literary texts. They will be able to understand specialized articles, express themselves fluently, clearly and spontaneously in the Albanian language with minimal help from the professor. They will be able to use the language flexibly and actively in various situations. They will be able to express their opinions and attitudes more precisely and participate more actively in the conversation of other speakers. To connect certain thematic units and end their presentation with an appropriate conclusion. They will be able to understand, to a solid degree, most TV news and current affairs programs, understand most movies in standard language. They will be able to read articles and reports that deal with contemporary and current problems, to clearly express their views and opinions on certain topics and issues. Students will be able to read works of contemporary Albanian literature, to write an essay and a summary of what they have read, expressing their own views on the given topic (agreements and disagreements with the views expressed) giving reasons for or against a point of view and attitude. | |||

Contents of lectures | How to write an essay. Creative writing. Analysis of phrases (correct use of phrases and phraseological expressions). Ellipticity, creativity in language and linguistic economy. Style. Building sentences in accordance with the literary-linguistic norm. A variety of topics and texts for analysis that are in accordance with the program for this level of language proficiency. Political terminology, economic terminology, legal terminology, tourism terminology, etc. | |||
