      The goal The objective of the course is to get acquainted with the most important theories about the relationships between literary fiction and the category of truth.
      The outcome The learning outcome of the course implies the ability to distinguish main streams in contemporary literary theories of literary truth and literary fiction, as well as the understanding of literature in the categories of fiction and truth.

      Contents of lectures 1. Theories of truth and literary theories. 2. Theories of correspondence and coherence. 3. The origin of the term fiction. 4. The concept of fiction and content of the concept of fiction in literature. 5. The classic understanding of literary truth. 6. The concepts of fiction and truth in enlightenment and romanticism. 7. Standard and genre understanding of fiction. 8. Models of truth in literature. 9. A classic understanding of the literary truth. 10. Fiction and facticity. 11. Literary truth and literary fiction. 12. The postmodern understanding of fiction and neutralization of truth in literary and work of art.
