The goal | Mastering the ways of presenting stories through different media; defining the media and their poetic specificities in relation to the literary text; defining the media and their poetic specificities in relation to the literary text; mastering the cognitive-narrative aspects of the work; establishing connections in relation to stories (text) : comics, pictures, theatre plays, radio dramas, video games or other interactive formats. | |||
The outcome | The student will acquire knowledge of the literary theory to expertly follow the metamorphoses of the story through different media and to apply this knowledge in the teaching of literature. By choosing the texts represented by school programs and comparing the texts with their medial metamorphoses, student will be able to apply the acquired knowledge from the field of cognitive narratology into the interpretation of the texts, to reconstruct the reception changes caused by the change of media. Student will develop the ability to read/tell/listen/watch/perform/paint a story and the ability to recognize and define aesthetic meanings created by the variety of media. | |||
Contents | ||||
Contents of lectures | Familiarization with literary works included in the school curriculum and their most representative intermediate variations; defining the dominant (media) principles of shaping the story; Observing the specificity of literary poetics on the one hand, and on the other hand, familiarization with various media representations, narrativizations and adaptations. | |||
Contents of exercises | Creation of audio-visual forms inspired by literary texts, theatre plays and other representative artistic (painting, sculpture, architectural) achievements; expressive and interpretive interpretation of a literary work, a cultural walk through the city, school recital, review of a theatre play. | |||
