The goal | Knowledge of the characteristics of the most significant and long-lived figures in Spanish literature and their transformations over time and different genres, both in Spanish and other literatures. Observation of the relationship between national, Spanish character and universal, secular character in the process of formation and longevity of a literary figure. Getting to know the mechanism of division into heroes and anti-heroes.
The outcome | The student applies the previously acquired knowledge of Spanish literature in the interpretation of specific works in which he identifies the traits of the greatest heroes; he registers the characteristics that make them long-lasting, first by means of original works and then by means of achievements created in other periods and literary systems; he analyzes transformations and recognizes what is constant and what is variable in them. He demonstrates the ability to compare the original appearance of a character with later transformations.
