      The goal • Acquiring basic knowledge about Persian history, culture, and literature. • Acquiring knowledge about the cultural trends of Iranian civilization throughout different historical periods. • Gaining familiarity with Iranian languages, literary trends, and masterpieces of Iranian literature.
      The outcome By the end of the course, students are expected to become familiar with cultural values in Iran and Persian civilization. Students who pass the exam will have developed the analytical skills needed to interpret Persian literary texts. The course will also address the role that Iran plays in the world.
