      The goal The aim of the course is to acquire the basic knowledge regarding Aristotle’s, Horace’s, Pseudo-Longin’s and Quintilian’s attitudes to poetry.
      The outcome Understanding of the antique conception of the world, society, culture, art, and in particular Aristotle’s, Horace’s, Pseudo-Longin’s and Quintilian’s attitudes to poetry, as the foundation of later literary-theoretical insights.
