      The goal Introducing students to a broader approach to the syntax of the Japanese language, focusing particularly on the functionality of structural elements and the meanings of predicate forms in simple sentences. Preparing students for further independent research and the enhancement of their Japanese language skills through a problem-based approach and guidance to necessary literature.
      The outcome Students are expected to demonstrate proficiency in articulating their knowledge and deepening their understanding of the Japanese sentence structure. They should be adept at utilizing pertinent literature for independent research.
      Contents
      Contents of lectures The content of the course encompasses exploring the questions of what constitutes the syntax of simple sentences in the Japanese language, as well as how the acquired knowledge can be applied for further independent learning and research of the Japanese language.
      Contents of exercises A problem-based approach to specific linguistic inquiries. Reading and interpreting scholarly texts related to the assigned topic, especially in Japanese. Presenting the results of independent research from secondary literature and personal investigation in both written and oral forms.
