      The goal Acquisition and development of general language skills, especially communicative competence.
      The outcome Students will be able to understand the essentials of standard conversation in a variety of situations. They will also be able to write simple texts on topics of their own interests and talk about daily events, dreams and desires with further explanation.
      Contents
      Contents of lectures Intonation and dialects, phonological patterns, word stress, morpheme classification, morphology (agreement), nouns and noun phrases, adjectives and adjective phrases, reflexive pronouns, simple past and present tense in Persian, changes of verbs in past tenses, adjectives and adverbs in Persian, negation of new verb tenses, and learning to write.
      Contents of exercises Making and writing a diary for daily activities, thematic discussions, and writing about specific topics. Learning new vocabulary in context.
