      The goal Introducing students to a critical debate within which the development and changes of selected theoretical concepts are monitored during their "journey" both between disciplines and between researchers in different contexts and periods. In this way, students acquire basic knowledge about interdisciplinary approaches that are important for the literary studies.
      The outcome Students are supposed to comprehend various theoretical concepts and be able to use them properly in reading and analyzing of literary works or works of culture in general.
      Contents
      Contents of lectures At the center of the course are concepts that are important for the study of literature and culture. These are: tradition, canon, interdisciplinarity, identity, ideology, curriculum. Each concept will be determined by placing it in a theoretical and cultural context. Interdisciplinarity is an important category in the exploration of the chosen concepts.
      Contents of exercises Reading and interpretation of theoretical texts; presentations and discussions; use of the discussed concepts in the interpretation of literary works.
