    The goal Acquiring theoretical knowledge on development of Czech literature of the second half of the 19th century. Introducing the student with most representative authors, literary works and occurrences from the periods of Romanticism and Realism. Training for creative reading and analysis of texts.
    The outcome The student acquires more detailed insight into the literary process and poetics of late Romanticism and Realism, the student is trained for analysis and comparison with similar occurrences of other Slavic literatures.

    Contents of lectures Czech late Romanticism and Realism in literature. Basic characteristics, representatives, chosen occurrences.
    Contents of exercises Practical work on texts – analysis, interpretation, context. Elaboration of term paper
