Contents of lectures | 1. Syntax as a scientific discipline. Syntactic links. Grammatical, acceptability, language competence and language performance. 2. Components of a phrase (syntagma). Semantic relationships and presentation of phrase structures in syntagms. 3. Sentence. What is that? Meaning and definition. Means of connecting words in syntagms and sentences. 4. Types of syntactic connections in sentences. Classification of sentences. 5. Sentence articles. Types of sentences according to meaning.6. Declarative sentences. Declarative-exclamatory; exercises. 7. Desired, exclamatory and interrogative sentences; exercises. 8. Main clauses: subject and predicate. 9. Subject expressed by a noun and a pronoun; exercises. 10. Subject expressed by named types of words and syntagm; exercises. 11. Predicate expressed by a verb, simple verb predicate. 12. A predicate expressed in some verbal way; verb kam + infinitive and verb jam + gerund; exercises. 13. Predicate expressed by impersonal verb forms and complex verb forms; exercises. 14. Compound verb predicate, the second part of the predicate expressed by a verb in the subjunctive and one impersonal form; exercises 15.
