      The goal Introducing students to the beginnings of Albanian literature. Chronological familiarization with values ​​and analysis of the development of the literary process, with special emphasis on the most prominent and representative authors.

      Contents of lectures 1. Albanians and their language. 2. The birth of written literature in Albania. 3. Humanistic traditions of the European Rensanse. 4. Beginnings of writing in the Albanian language. 5. Beginnings of literature in Albania, 16th and 17th centuries. 6. Gjon Buzuku and the first book in the Albanian language (1555). 7. Lek Matrënga and Christian Doctrine (1592). 8. Reading and analysis of Buzuku's and Matrenga's texts. 9. Works of Pjeter Budi (1618-1621). 10. Frang Bardhi and his Latin-Albanian dictionary (1635). 11. Pjeter Bogdani and Cuneus Prophetarum (1685). 12. Reading and analysis of Budi's and Bogdani's texts. 13. Other works of the 17th century. 14. Other works of the 17th century (continued). 15. Conclusions.
