      The goal Introducing students to Albanian literature of the 18th and 19th centuries and Albanian literature of the Renaissance. Chronological familiarization with values ​​and analysis of the development of the literary process, with special emphasis on the most prominent and representative authors (within the respective literary directions or not).
      The outcome Upon completion of the course, the student knows well the characteristics of the literature of that period and applies the acquired knowledge: theoretical concepts, key knowledge of literary currents, analyzes literary events, interprets and evaluates various texts in terms of structure, content, artistic and life philosophy, etc.

      Contents of lectures 1. Arbresh literature in the 18th and 19th centuries /Albanian emigration to Italy/. Arbresh literature in the 18th century. 2. Recent traces of Catholic writings in Albania in the 18th century. 3. Jeronim De Rada (analysis and interpretation of the work) and Albanian literature of the 19th century. 4. Romantic poets: Francesco Santori, Gavril Dara i Riu and Zef Serembe. 5. Other Arbresh writers of the 19th century, Contribution of Arbresh writers and scientists who write in the Italian language. 6. Muslim and Bektashi literature 1850-1950. Bektashi art. Decline of Muslim tradition. 7. Renaissance period. Albanian national literature of Renaissance. The beginnings of national consciousness (1830-1850). 8.
