The goal | The history of modern Albanian literature (from 1944 to 1985) is one of the key subjects that affects the historical-literary formation of students of Albanian literature. Special attention is paid to the initiation of literary self-awareness and the expression of literary opinion and Albanian literary criticism. Acquaintance of students with contemporary Albanian literature, chronological introduction to values and analysis of the development of the literary process, with special emphasis on the most prominent and representative authors in Albania (within the respective literary directions). The outcome | At the end of this course, students will be able to clearly perceive and distinguish the poetic characteristics of each individual author found in the program of this course, to acquire the necessary knowledge about the characteristics of contemporary Albanian literature. They will be able to follow several paradigms of the development of Albanian literature: according to literary genres, according to themes and motives; according to the chronology of authors and their works, etc.They are able to see the development process of this phase of Albanian literature in a wider context. Upon completion of the course, students must know and implement the acquired knowledge: theoretical concepts, key knowledge about literary currents, to analyze literary events in Albania, and to interpret and evaluate various texts in terms of structure, content, artistic and life philosophy ect. | |||

Contents of lectures | 1. Literature under Enver Hoxha's regime (from 1944 to 1985) and the way out of isolation; 2. Political and historical conditions; 3. The wave of socialist realism; 4. Post-war Albanian literature until 1961; 5. Ismail Kadare, the most innovative writer of the second half of the 20th century; 6. Ismail Kadare, reading, analysis and interpretation of works; 7. Dritero Agolli (Dritëro Agolli), reading, analysis and interpretation of the work; 8. Fatos Arapi reading, analysis and interpretation of the work. | |||
