The goal | Introduction to the benefits of using autobiographical (literary) texts in learning/teaching a foreign language. Introduction to basic concepts of intercultural and reflective approach. Encourage students to expand previously acquired theoretical and practical knowledge of foreign language teaching methods and techniques. | |||
The outcome | The doctoral candidate acquires theoretical knowledge and is able to apply it in independent research as well as in practical work - knows how to design and conduct a foreign language class with (inter)cultural content and to write a detailed preparation for this class | |||

Contents of lectures | Literature in the foreign language class and writers writing in a foreign/French language. Intercultural Approach. Strategies for self-observation and self-evaluation. Language biographies. Learning (work) diary. Learning portfolio. Professional development portfolio. Lesson plan based on the principles of the communicative and action-oriented approach. | |||
Contents of exercises | Creation of a detailed lesson plan for the development of intercultural competence. Seminar paper. Oral presentation to the class. Writing of a work diary followed by class discussion. | |||
