      Contents of lectures Concepts of communication, information, redundancy, entropy; encoding, decoding, feedback; two basic models of human communication; the telegraphic and orchestral model; the problem of selection and interpretation; the problem of noise and misunderstanding in communication; verbal and nonverbal markers of understanding and misunderstanding; semantic aspects of communication; code and context; the structure of the communication process; ideology and codes; types and models of communication.
