| The goal | The first part is dedicated to the introduction of the basic trends of Japanese literature from its beginnings to the end of the 12th century: 1. Introduction (the problem of periodization); ancient literature (Nara period: from the very beginning to 794); late ancient literature (Heian period: from the 9th to the 12th century); medieval literature (1192-1600). Each section contains a general review of the literary currents, literary life, formal and thematic changes and development; understanding of the beautiful; the development of literary genres. The second part deals with poetry (Manyoshu, Kokinshu, Shinkokinshu). | |||
