      The goal Preparing students for further independent research and refining Japanese language knowledge with a problem-based approach to learning. Providing guidance in the matter of crucial literature, directing attention to individual and epochal grammar differences, determining language corpora, etc.
      The outcome Students become capable of active independent study and research, utilizing the relevant literature, as well as judging the validity of sources. Students are familiarized with key technical terms in Japanese, Serbian, and English and become familiar with academic paper writing in Japanese.
      Contents
      Contents of lectures Examining the nature and purpose of grammar, with an emphasis on individual and epochal differences in works, through an overview of the development of Japanese grammar up to its current state and principal problem areas.
      Contents of exercises Problem-based approach to specific language questions and examination of the provided corpus. Reading and interpretation of a text related to a given subject, especially in Japanese. Presenting results of independent research from secondary literature and own research in both written and spoken form.
