      The goal In addition to presenting a comparison of the literary and theoretical levels, i.e. the idea of ​​how much and to what extent it is possible to apply theory in the interpretation of a literary work, one of the basic ideas of this course is to make students independent in the field of critical thinking. The student should be familiar with a certain theoretical direction and with the application of the same in the interpretation of the work, and then the next step is to build an independent critical thinking in the analysis of the poetry of T. S. Eliot and E. Pound and W. B. Yeats. Literary theories and approaches, different forms of reading of key poets and creators of modernist poetics such as T. S. Eliot and E. Pound and W. B. Yeats will change from year to year.
      The outcome Acquiring knowledge in the application of theory in the analysis of a poem, poetic text, artistic text and recognizing what is artistic in it. The student should acquire the ability and confidence to think independently and critically, to apply and recognize which theoretical direction is appropriate in the analysis of given poets or to challenge the use of one of the selected theoretical directions in literary theoretical reading. Comparative analysis of selected poems by Eliot, Pound and Yeats. The influence of these poets on the creation of modernist poetics but also the study of modern narrative. Noticing micronarratives in their poems and a comparative study of the poetic and narrative in a poetic or prose text.

      Contents of lectures Acquisition of knowledge in the field of literary theory. Analysis of individual poems and entire literary works, both poetry and essays by T. S. Eliot and E. Pound and W. B. Yeats, using various theoretical approaches. Acquisition of knowledge about new literary forms.
