The goal | Acquiring language and communication competencies at level B1.2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages familiarization with new morphological categories, and further development of language competencies (reading, comprehension, and speaking) | |||
The outcome | After completing this level, the student is able to understand constructed written texts in Italian at the B1.2 level. The student can: orally present on a familiar topic related to studies and interests, etc., write short and simple notes and messages, fill out a questionnaire and compose a resume, describe an event, past actions, and personal experiences, write a personal letter, initiate and conclude a formal letter. | |||
Contents | ||||
Contents of lectures | Theoretical contents encompass acquainting students with techniques for acquiring vocabulary, written and oral production, text analysis, comprehension of written and oral texts, extracting general and specific information, and the like. Students also become familiar with specific aspects of Italian culture, society, and everyday life. | |||
Contents of exercises | The exercises gradually follow the didactic units and the instructional material designed to develop oral production skills (including interactive abilities) and comprehension skills of texts of various types through reading and listening activities with comprehension checks. The selection of texts is aligned with the students' needs and teaching goals. The program includes one knowledge assessment, which takes the form of a final written exam (listening comprehension, dictation, grammar test, written production). The final oral exam assesses the level of oral communication proficiency. | |||
