The goal | Introduction to the basic principles of academic literacy. Development of reading competence and critical interpretation of (academic) texts. Development of critical approach to academic engagement. | |||
The outcome | The student reads and writes different types of (academic) texts. S/he recognizes and differentiates between the topic, main and secondary ideas, identifies keywords. S/he recognizes elements of textual coherence and cohesion and applies them independently in the production of (academic) short texts. S/he understands and analyzes the main premises of academic honesty and develops critical thinking. | |||
