The goal | To get acquainted with the main features of the presence of Miguel de Cervantes in Serbian literature and culture in the period from the 18th to the 21st century in three areas (translation, influence on domestic literary creation and literary criticism). To understand, through theoretical lectures and the analysis of the work, the basis of this reception, what elements of Cervantes' work were adopted in the new Serbian literature and what forms they took over time. To develop the ability to see Cervantes in the context of Serbian literary and cultural heritage. | |||
The outcome | The student acquires relevant knowledge about the presence and action of the most important Spanish writer and his "Don Quixote" in Serbian literature, in diachrony and synchronicity, theoretically and practically. Accepts information about the peculiarities of the reception of this work in the field of translation, fictional literature and literary criticism by Serbian authors. He is able to see and recognize the peculiarities of the Serbian reception of the art of Cervantes and conclude how the national mentality, the characteristics of culture and historical development are refracted through it. | |||
