      The goal Getting acquainted with the methodology and practice of translating literary texts from the Spanish Renaissance and Baroque (16th and 17th centuries) into Serbian. Theoretical insight into the methodology and stages of translation (reading, understanding, translating). Getting acquainted with the peculiarities of the classical Spanish language. Practice on concrete texts and acquisition of skills for independent translation of this type of text.
      The outcome The student acquires the necessary knowledge of linguistic, stylistic and cultural aspects of the literary texts of the Spanish Golden Age and the translational challenges of their translation into Serbian. He/she becomes familiar with possible approaches to this type of text and with the techniques of its translation. He acquires the ability to independently translate the Spanish literature of the Golden Age into the Serbian language.
      Contents
      Contents of lectures Spanish literature of the Golden Age, its general characteristics, linguistic and stylistic peculiarities, meaning. Reception and translation in Serbia. A theoretical introduction to the methodology of translating this literature.
      Contents of exercises Translation of texts from classical Spanish based on excerpts from representative works by masters of Spanish literature as well as from anonymous works. Authors represented: Cervantes, Quevedo, Lope de Vega, Tirso de Molina, Guillen de Castro, Mateo Aleman, María de Sayas, Agustin de Rojas, Gracián, Castillo Solorzano and other authors.
