    The goal Getting to know the concept of exile and dissident literature in a historical, cultural, political and psychological context. Researching the phenomenon of censorship, persecution of writers, nostalgia for the homeland, dualism and biliteracy, emigration and immigration. Using examples from Czech literature, other Slavic and non-Slavic literatures, the peculiarities of these phenomena are determined.
    The outcome The student acquires the ability to recognize and interpret the studied phenomena, is able to analyze them on concrete examples, comparatively and in a wider historical, social and cultural context.
    Contents
    Contents of lectures The phenomenon of exile and dissident literature is studied from antiquity to the present day. Selected translated works of Czech authors, as well as other Slavic and non-Slavic authors, provide a model for analyzing and interpreting the phenomenon of censorship, persecution of writers, longing and nostalgia for the homeland, but also the phenomenon of (non)acceptance of the Other and the Different.
    Contents of exercises Depending on the study profile, the student chooses selected examples of the works of exiled or banned authors, independently approaches the analysis and interpretation, while the other students discuss it. The professor moderates and directs the conversation.
