    The goal Integrating theoretical knowledge from the fields of literary theory, literary analysis, and the history of Russian culture to train students in translating literary texts from Russian into Serbian. Developing the translator’s awareness and responsibility as a mediator between two cultures, and fostering critical thinking about cultural differences and intercultural communication.
    The outcome Training the student for high-quality and competent translating of artistic texts from Russian into Serbian, with a focus on the style, tone, and artistic features of the original. Developing artistic and academic ethics, as well as critical evaluation of translation choices and revision of translations.
    Contents
    Contents of lectures The course content covers topics ranging from introductory theoretical frameworks of translation and its ethical and cultural dimensions to a more in-depth analysis of the Russian language and culture for the early identification of cultural references. Various approaches to literary translation are examined, as well as the translation of poetry, prose, and drama from Russian into Serbian, with an emphasis on preserving style, tone, and artistic qualities.

Texts are analyzed on different levels: phonological, lexical, syntactic, mythopoetic, and intertextual. Phonological – sound, rhythm, prosody in translation; lexical – effective equivalents, neologisms; syntactic – the structure of formal and stylistic transformations; mythopoetic and intertextual levels – allusions, myths, quotations; intermediality – translation for the stage, film, and journalistic contexts.
