      Contents
Contents of lectures Analysis of the relationship between language and gender from the perspective of critical, socially engaged, sociolinguistics. Understanding, interpretation and explanation of the relationship between communicative practices and ideologies that are associated with the discourse of women, as well as the ways in which gender ideologies are formed through the discourse about women. Issues of gender inequality determined by linguistic form and structure in the communicative process, as well as the role cultural and educational institutions, the media, but also families and peer groups. Finally, the course deals with the sociolinguistic analysis of conversation, that is, issues of specificity and aspects of culturally determined communicative competences (for example, the form of polite address) in the (re)production of gender-(in)sensitive-(un)egalitarian social relations. The course also offers an overview of the history of language and gender research, and theoretical concepts (taken from sociolinguistics, conversation analysis, and critical discourse analysis) relevant to this topic. The scientific-methodological apparatus of critical sociolinguistics is also used for the comparative analysis of gender (in)sensitive language and educational policies in the world and in our country.
