Call for International Incoming Student Mobility UNAM (Mexico)

Iberijske studije

On Monday, March 4, 2024 we will publish our Call for International Incoming Student Mobility, Fall 2024 (August-December 2024). You will be able to submit applications from that date until March 14, 2024, so we share some important considerations for receiving mobility applications:

General procedure
All mobility applications are received exclusively through the Sistema de Movilidad Estudiantil Entrante (SGMEE) (Incoming Student  Mobility Management System) https://sgmee.unaminternacional.unam.mx/ We do not envisage another mechanism.

The procedure is in two steps:
Step 1. Nomination, Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) enter student information into the SGMEE. Only nominated applications will be able to complete the application.
Step 2. Registration and Application, students make the record of information and documentation indicated in the Call and add the Office of Application provided by their University.

It will be published together with the Call, the timetable for implementation and a more detailed instruction on the procedure.

General and specific requirements
It is important to consider from the outset the general requirements that students must meet at the time of application:
a. Minimum 40% advance in their curriculum or the one required by the Faculty or School of interest in UNAM, at the time of registration.
b. General academic average (GPA) of 8/10 (UNAM scale) or its equivalent, or that required by the Faculty or School of interest in UNAM; this should be clearly reflected in the academic record/transcript presented at the time of registration. A reference table shall be published with the estimated average value per country.
c. Passport with minimum validity of 6 months after the end of the mobility stay.
d. Proof of registration to the semester at the time of the application, prior to mobility, where indicate the subjects currently taken. This allows for more academic evaluation elements for the UNAM Schools and Faculties.
e. Select the correct study modality: study subjects, conduct a research stay or professional experience.
f. Meet specific requirements that UNAM Faculties and Schools request. These specific requirements are published with the Call.
g. Official Spanish proficiency certificate SIELE Global (4 skills) or DELE, valid, with minimum level of B2, in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Information on the SIELE Global exam can be found at: https://siele.org/examen
